Hi!

Not realy tonic but a reasonable sub is "Camlica" normal or diet at Migros/Carrefour. just needs a bit of lemon to increase the sharpness.

Post by: seacat on July 28, 2009, 15:37:08 PM: fresh limes are for sale in tansas at the moment, by the fish counter. There is a nar (pomegranite) shweppes tonic for sale that has fewer calories than the regular tonic, also in tansas. Happy shopping.

Limes - at just about this time of year - are sometimes available from the Indoor fruit market in Fethiye. A year ago the advertised price was 12 YTL per Kilo. We haggled them down to 8 YTL per kilo.
The Limes they sold were grown in the Bodrum area. There are hundreds of acres of Lime groves on the Bodrum peninsula.
Maybe Migros only sell Imports!
Having said that, the " Season " only seems to last four to six weeks for the local produce.
