Title: Fethiye to Dalyan local bus
Post by: bookworm on August 10, 2009, 09:45:28 AM
Hello I am a new member to the Forum and am looking forward to my first trip to Turkey.  We are going to Calis.  I would like some information on the local bus service as we would like to visit friends in Dalyan. I believe there are buses from Fethiye changing at Ortan for Dalyan.  Can anyone give me times etc.  Much obliged.

You get the bus for ORTACA from the otogar in Fethiye or on route as it goes through Gunlukbasi.  At the otogar in Ortaca get the Dalyan dolmus,
they park up near the exit. The Ortaca bus leaves Fethiye on the hour and half hour throughout the day.  It is the Dalaman route. :)

Tribal Elder   I am not familar with the workings of this site, so hope you get this. Thanks for the information, very helpful.  What is the difference between a dolmus and a bus? Silly question I know.

Not a lot really  :) Normally the dolmus tends to be the local routes, say Calis to Fethiye etc whereas the buses tend to be a little larger and travel greater distances and passengers are all seated:D It is a grey area though but you will soon get used to the System :)
