Post by: Firo on August 19, 2009, 22:48:18 PM: It is with the greatest satisfaction that I can today announce we have paid the bill for the lawyers. We had a bill of 32,000tl and we were told tonight that it is all paid up.
A BIG BIG thank you to everyone who has attended our quiz nights,fund raising events and made donations over the last 2 years.
We took on a fight that lots said we had no chance of winning and now here we are, 2 years and 2 months later, with a great conclusion.
The final nail has been hammered into the coffin and Eric and myself and the loyal band of helpers, who have stuck with it from the start, can get on with what we came to Turkey to do....enjoy life.
We cannot say thank you enough and well done to everyone.

have been happy to donate money to cause in the past but that is easy, what you have done on behalf of yourselves and the rest of us who have property in uzumlu is nothing short of miraculous and if i wore one i would take my hat off to you both, and indeed all who have put there time and effort into this.
wish i got out there more often and hope to at some point and when i do i would like to thank you personally and buy you a very large drink.
again well done and may you enjoy a long and happy life in uzumlu!!!!

As Eric said yes the quiz will continue but the monies raised will also stay local.
