Hi to everyone. Really enjoying reading all messages and stuff. Myself and family, hubby, 2kids and dog will be moving out to Oviack next May 2005. I have found this site really useful but was wondering what the Health care was like and how much it costs, also schools if any one has kids at school I would really like to hear from them. Many thanks lorna young

Hi Lorna
Welcome to the forum.
You can use the search faciltiy to find out about schools and health care, I'm sure they've been well discussed on here at some point.
Good luck with the move, just wish it was me.

Hi Lorna,
not to put a spanner in the works but tread carefully, officially you need to live in turkey for 8 years before you can be employed, read this somewhere on a official web page. But otherwise lucky you and good luck with your new life.

Have not heard about having to live here for 8 years before you can be employed? You do need a work permit however if you are going to work here, if you don't have one then you run the risk of getting deported. You need to find a job with an employer who is willing to get you a permit. Not all of them will do this. Also a company usually has to employ so many Turks before they can get a permit for a foriegner and it also needs to be a job that only a foriegn person can do.
