Title: Easyjet Hand Luggage
Post by: simon7685 on September 06, 2009, 12:54:11 PM
We fly from Manchester to Dalaman in October.  I might be taking my laptop with me, not sure yet.  Obviously I do not want it going in the hold so would want to take it as hand luggage.

Can anyone tell me if they have travelled Easyjet (preferably from Manchester), are they strict on the size of your hand luggage[?]

On their website it states 55cm x 40cm x 20cm.  If I do take my laptop I will be taking a proper laptop bag, which measures
51 x 37 x 23.  So the depth is slightly over but it is under on the other sizings.  Would I get away with that, or are they liable to make me put it in the hold[?]

Also if anyone going from Manchester could tell me, do they have a sizing box that your hand luggage has to fit into, or do they just look at it[?]

Finally what is it like on the way back from Dalaman, are they very strict[?]

Thanks in advance:D

I have flown on easyjet internally and there was no problem with hand luggage size

Flew easyjet from Gatwick no restriction on weight (within reason) but they were checking the size of the hand luggage.

From Dalaman they don't even see or ask to see your hand luggage. No weight restriction, only that you must be able to lift it into the overhead lockers yourself.

Decision made thanks guys:D
Going to take my own laptop, the bag I am looking at getting is 1 or 2 cm's too deep but smaller in the other dimensions so I hope I will get away with it:D

Thanks again for your help and advice:D
