Title: Fethiye Belediye Baskan Stabbed...
Post by: chewyturk on September 09, 2009, 11:03:09 AM: The Fethiye Belediye Baskan has just been stabbed several times at the foot of the stairs to the Belediye building near Carrefour and rushed to hospital.
Hope he will be ok.....

word is two guys attacked him but turned themselves into the police for safe keeping rather than face the public.

Post by: hoops man on September 10, 2009, 14:08:26 PM: yes its true but he is ok...you will get full details if you google daily news turkey...its all in English...apparently the Mayor was stabbed just under the heart and his assistant in the abdomen.They are currently out of trouble and doing well.The mayor is reported to be his usual self and smiling again.Extra police have been drafted in to man the police station were the culprit is being held for his own safety.
