Flew with Onur Air to Dalaman on 10th September & returned on 17th September & I have to say I was very impressed. No delays either way, in fact the return flight was approx 15 minutes early leaving Dalaman. Check-in was a breeze, all very efficient despite having heard stories to the contrary. I think most airlines can all have their 'moments' with delays bad service etc but can only tell of our own experience which was excellent! All this on top of a 20 KG allowance too ,cheaper than cattle class with Thomas Cook and flying from Liverpool instead of Manchester as a bonus (easier for us as we were able to leave car at airport for the week) having only a short drive to and from the airport made a big difference to us.

I went with them in June, Tony and had exactly the same experience as you, no delays, arrived early everything very smooth and good, speak as you find.
We are going out with them on 2nd October again so hope its as good, coming back with KTHY and never flown with them so we will see, they do always get good write ups though....baggage out with Onur 20Kgs, back 25 Kgs with KTHY!....amazing...I am going to bring back some lovely towels....sad I know but never had the room or weight before...usually 15 Kgs which is hopeless.

I have a flight booked with Onur for next month, I booked via low cost holidays, but nowhere can I find the baggage allowance, do you think we will be entitled to 20 kg each as we booked through an agent?
Many thanks for any replies.
-
Karen, we booked through an agent and it did state our luggage allowance.Check either the agents website or check any documentation you have received as I'm sure it will state it somewhere. I am pretty certain that it will be the full allowance but do make sure you check first.
-
i have always fly with onur except one occasion and i find i have had no problems with them at all i highly recommend them
-
Does anyone know where you can book one way flights with Onur ? The reason being, if you fly from Birmingham, the outward flight time is superb 08.15(Friday), but the return is 04.15(Friday),which mean you almost lose a days holiday, and their are better options for the return .Any ideas?
-
yeah you just click the one way button, on their website, or try a flight comparison sight and choose the flights that suit you each way
-
Does anyone have the website address for Onur Air or do all of their bookings have to be done via an agent?
Many thanks.
-
Same here, flew out from Liverpool one way, no queue's more leg room, more luggage allowance, and even cheaper ciggies, much better than T.Cook in May, would defo use them again.
-
It looks like Goldtrail Holidays have the monolpoly on Onur flights from Brum, unless someone knows of another site that can sell one way only Onur flights from Birmingham ?
-
Try aegeanflights.com

Just back and we did not find out it was 20 kgs until we got our E ticket.
Did spot three ladies who were over the limit. Watched and they did not get charged for excess.

Also try Holidays 4 u,they use Onur Air but their web site does'nt allow for one-ways.Use the phone number on their site.I've always found them helpful.

Goldtrail usually charge the one week return price for one way. I had the same problem in the summer and opted for paying the price and then booking a return flight with Thomas Cook at a more senisble time. Try KTHY from Birmingham - they have some good offers.

aegeanflights.com are the flight only division of h4u and you will find that they are the biggest UK agent for Onur Air. With them you can book return or one way as already stated.

Hi,
Any flights from Dalaman to UK on Sunday???
-
I can only refer to Manchester and in peak season their flights are on Fridays, Sundays and Mondays. All these flights are in the small hours arriving back in Manc around 09:00hrs.
-
Kenkay I can't find on H4u where to book a one way flight from Dalaman ?
-
Anne, h4u mainly do Turkish package holidays. Aegeanflights.com are their flight only division so you need to go there to book one way flights.

Karennina,
Onur will not let you book flights direct, they offer you either Aegean or H4U tele numbers
-
Oh thanks George I did not realise that.

Just wondering, off topic, if British Midlands flights are BMI? (Flying 2nd Oct) Just never flown with them before, I also have 20 KG, brilliant!! Without paying the extra cost. :)
-
Yes, British Midland is BMI. I flew with them September from LGW, more leg room, flight was good.
-
Just returned With Onur to Glasgow.Flights were bang on time, decent leg room plane clean and tidy.My only complaint is they must have been infected wih the Greedy B****** syndrom from Dalaman airport.£3.30 for a can of coke,£2.80 for a cup of coffee which consisted of a cup of barely warm water and a sachet of Nescafe, coffeemate and sugar.Hardley value for money.

As a new member Ally you will not know the code all CBF members follow and the oath we have to take as devout members... Never, ever, ever buy food or drink at Dalaman Airport... you will be ripped off... Go to the search facility and read pages and pages of angry CBF reports about Dalaman Aiport. Now you have admitted to buying drinks at Dalaman you will face the wrath of CBF and may never be forgiven for breaking the rules... :)
-
:)I don't think you read Ally's post properly jacqui
-
Ally B.Every forum has one.The rest of us know what you mean. :D:D
I flew home with Onur two weeks ago and agree with everything you've said.We always used to have meals on flights but the way they are trying to rip us off has converted us to taking sandwiches and bottles of water,as a matter of principle. :)
-
I did not read it properly, the wine after our dinner did not help either, however, did not know Onur where charging for food, we did fly with them a few years ago and as I recall the meal was free and so was the first soft drink.
-
I did know about the stupid prices in Dalaman Airport having used it many times. We ate at the hotel before we left so we would not be robbed at the airport. We put off having a drink as well.As we have not used Onur Air before we did not know what a shower of bandits they were.I have used many different airlines and they did not charge the inflated prices Onur Air did.Whats the answer? "Dont drink for about seven hours"?
-
The small bottles of water were £3 and a miniture bottle of Jack Daniels was £5. [:(!]
