Post by: calvin 1949 on September 24, 2009, 23:19:44 PM: Hi all the wine house is having a special night next Tuesday, ,could be a good time to meet friends old and new time for all new comers to the village to get together with us old timers , hope that does not sound patronising , the menu is
Lentil soup followed by Beef wellington with all the trimmings and then dessert , and of course good music and company hope this does not sound to much like an advert more like a chance to meet new friends .Regards Calvin

Post by: friar tuck on September 28, 2009, 21:40:52 PM: Hope you get better service than I did on my 2 visits, my first with a party of 6 had the order cocked up and chips and veg were cold but I must say the steak and sauce were delicious although it was not what I ordered, on my second visit on my own was on Friday night for Phil and Pats quiz, arrived early 8pm so I could have something to eat first it took me 20 minutes to get a drink and a menu, and they were not busy when I arrived, after 45 minutes and no food order taken I decided to leave and go elsewhere to eat, I have to comment on the rather high prices too, 25TL for a T bone steak you can eat cheaper in Calis or Hisaronu, I do not mind paying the price as long as I get the service and on my 2 visits I am afraid I was very disappointed.

Post by: friar tuck on October 03, 2009, 17:22:41 PM: I did complain direct Calvin and that is why I posted my experience on here, his reply to my complaint was and I quote "Thank you and good night" I will not be using the Wine House again I think 2 chances are enough and you know me well enough Calvin I do not complain easily but they were rude and very unprofessional.

Post by: pookie on October 07, 2009, 07:07:52 AM: I would like to say a personal very big thank you to the guys at the Wine House. 'Mumsie' and her friend stayed for 10 days in September. The Golden Girls ate regularly in the Wine House and the team were fantastic to them. They really looked after them and on several occasions bought things to them 'with the compliments of the chef'. Musmie felt very special and she hasn't stopped praising them since she got back. Thank you everyone at the Wine House, you made two old ladies very happy.
