Why does it cost £10.00 to go from Marmaris to Rhodes but 15 euros from Kas to Meis?
-
That is a good question ;)
-
I don't recall it being £10 from Marmaris...
-
Oh you mean the visa itself
I don't recall it being 15 euros from Kas :D
-
How much is the visa at Dalaman airport in Euros?
-
I don`t know the answer to that question, but I`m sure that somebody who has been on the trip will be along soon and will answer.

Found it ....
90 DAYS 20 USD - 15 € - 10 £
-
Yes, not changed from the days when £1 actually did buy you 1.5 euros
-
but no one has said WHY 15 Euros...other ports, either airport or sea port, charge 10 pounds not Euros, why does Kas charge in Euros only for entry into Turkiye?????
-
Apparently it was a decision made by the local Pasaport Polis commander a few years ago and it has been upheld ever since. Simple as that.
-
It's 15 Euros coming in from Rhodes to Fethiye.
Isn't it a case of you pay the visa fee according to the country you come in from? i.e. From Greece it is 15 Euros.
Coming in from Britain you have the choice of paying £10 in GBP or 15 Euros. Obviously you would pay £10 as was said earlier the Euro was 1.5 to the £ some time ago.

No. If that were the case then Australians, for instance, wouldn't be restricted to paying in either USD, GBP or Euros.
And, although Bulgaria is now part of the EU but isn't in the Eurozone yet, you can't use Leva to pay for a visa. Its USD, GBP or Euros.

Its 15 Euros for British passport holders when coming from from Rhodes to Marmaris. It isn't where you come from its the passport which governs the price. Our friend from Belfast who carries an Irish passport only paid 10 Euros the last time she came over.Bulgarians like Germans do not pay for/need a visa for stays up to 90 days.
-
the ferry is 50 euros for a day trip and £10 for your visa.but you are right if you pay in euros your visa is 15 euros. so make sure you have a 10 pound note.

and Canadians pay 60 USD. Just to show that Brits are not getting charged the most.

On trips to Meis I usually give Selo 15 euros but I am sure I have given him the odd tenner if I have it so think they will accept either
-
We've just done our visa trip and stayed over one night in Rhodes i.e. we purchased an open ticket. The Fethiye ferry broke down yet again, so we ended up going to and from Marmaris :-\ On return to Marmaris we successfully paid for our visa's using £10 notes. So I would say that if you try to pay in Euros it's 15 EUR and pound notes it's £10. Why it should be different in Kas - who knows - money making exercise if you ask me :o
-
It is dependant on the country of your passport. My parents are coming with us in 2 weeks time, flying to Newcastle (U.K.) and then on to Dalaman, as they both hold Irish passports they will pay 10 euros for entry visa.

they wont they will pay 15!
-
I'm fairly sure they will pay 10
-
like to bet on it?
been out 5 times this year, 2 visas 15 Euro for Irish
-
i think it will be 15 to....it is at Kas for ALL visa`s....maybe im wrong.[?]
-
15 Euros at Dalaman for Irish pport
-
No, I'm not a betting man ;)
Unless I'm sure :D
-
well I am sure you are so wrong
We used to have to only pay 10 went up this year to 15
-
You should use a British passport and save yourself a few quid ;)
-
well it was always cheaper for us in the past but its worth the extra few quid to be Irish
-
Looks like 15 euros now, still think they will be happy with that, going to Turkey and being Irish. I have a British passport but could have had an Irish one, wish I did as still proud of my Irish roots. My friend had one when we went on holiday years ago and he got a more welcoming approach from passport control than the brits did.

I think that they are trained at the Doc Martin school of charm.
