Nicky at the Park Hotel in Calis has offered to host a Mr. and Mrs Night on Friday 16 October - adult questions only! and it should be a great laugh. Further details will follow but please make a note of this date in your diary. Entrance will be by ticket only and will include a meal with a donation from each going to the Carnival charities - further details to follow...........:D:D:D

a) Try and glue the chip back on and hope she doesn't notice
b) Confess your accident to her when she gets home
c) Hide it away and try to buy a new one before she realises

Tell her that whilst she was out you heard a strange noise in the bedroom - you grabbed the first thing to hand (the vase) and went to investigate (it's the manly thing to do). Upon entering the room you found a gang of international shoe thiefs ready to make off with her prized collection - you knew how upset she would be if all her shoes were stolen so you hit the ring leader with the vase - and chased them all out of the apartment/villa.
End result - she's happy the vase is broken.... even happier she still has her shoes......she thinks you are a hero and will be willing to show her appreciation of you for many weeks to come. Plus she'll tell all her friends what a wonderful husband you are.
Advice - don't try and hide what you have done she'll find out in the end (women always do) and then there really will be trouble - just come up with a tale that shows the breakage as a positive thing :-)

See previous post - works for any household breakage :-) and have to admit picturing Keith slapping an intruder over the head with a rampant rabbit does bring a smile to my face :-)

Right down to business :D - bookings are now being taken for this fun evening and tickets are limited.
The evening will cost you 15 lira a person - for this you will get a meal of chicken, meatballs, cole slaw, salad and potato wedges and Nicki is generously donating 5 lira from each meal to the Carnival charities - helping disadvantaged children.
There will be a "love and marriage" quiz open to everyone and then couples will be asked to put their names down for the main event. This will cost you a 2 lira entry fee. Names will be drawn from a hat and the five lucky (unlucky? :D) couples drawn will go head to head in the Mr. and Mrs Quiz. There will be a prize for the winner.
It should be a great fun night and I understand that Nicki has some great questions lined up :D:D:D

Partner Elaine went to buy a vibrator the other day,When she found the one she wanted the chap behind the counter said'You can't have that one' when I Said why not? He said 'Because that's my Thermos Flask' :o

Just had a phone call from Graham(ticker) to say due to adverse weather conditions the Mr. and Mrs competition at Park Hotel is OFF!

Unfortunately the venue decided that they were unable to go ahead with the event due to the threat of rain this evening. :(

We apologise to everyone who was looking forward to attending this event. Unfortunately as Marjo has correctly said, due to circumstances beyond the control of the Calis Carnival Committee the venue concerned decided this afternoon that due to their perceived threat of rain this evening and the absence of any waterproof cover, that they wished to cancel the event. We have tried to contact everyone who booked in for the evening so that they do not have a wasted journey but if we have missed anybody we are very, very sorry.
We were all looking forward to the event and hopefully we will find another venue and hold a similar evening elsewhere in the next few weeks :).
