We booked our flights through Airflights but were shocked to see the operator was Goldtrail when the e ticket arrived. Due to an unexpected berevement 3 out of the 4 people booked had to fly to Dalaman prior to our travel date so had to purchase different tickets. When the person who was due to fly arrived at the airport he explained the situation to the staff and informed them that all 4 passengers would be using the tickets back to Leeds Bradford. But alas when we arrived at Dalaman for our flight home there was only one ticked available and no not in the person who had flown out it was in the name of my 14 year old daughter!!! The night manager at the Goldtrail office in Marmaris was so rude and i had to buy new tickes for 3 of us, but no room on the Leeds Bradford flight we had to fly to Humberside.
I have put in a claim for the extra flights to airflights and they has sent it to Goldtrail!!! I will never use Goldtrail again and wouldnt have this time if i had know it was them i was booking with after all the bad reports on here.:-\:-\:-\

Dalefamily, dont hold your breath for any reply, help or refund from Goldtrail as they are the most unhelpful you will find and im speaking from experience here, best of luck.

Yes i know that i got no help in Dalaman airport at all and as i said the night manager in Marmaris is the rudest man i have ever spoken to. Airflights although have been very helpful and i only hope they will help out. Will keep you posted. If no joy i will take it further.

If they are registered with Atol or Abta then report them for this.
Hope you get your cash back.

As we all thought Goldtrail will not refund my flight money!!! now to contact ABTA. I would rather pay an extra £100 per person than every used goldtrail again.

small claims court is always a great option - did it with first choice and they settled out of court

GB is right. Almost always companies like this will settle out of court if you take them to the small claims court. Definitely worth trying in this instance.

Be carefull who you book with ,as goldtrail are part of a bigger group, travel republic, being one of them.Bee

Goldtrail are independent. They are ABTA registered.

So they might be, but their biggest get out, and I fell victim to this last year is that the airline they use "OH no Air" are registered in Turkey, not an eu country and so they are not governed by the "air users council"
Not much compo paid out by them I'm afraid

Dalefamily, Just a thought,did you ring and re-confirm your returm flights as most airlines require you to do this now.

I tried to but couldnt get through on the number given, it was constantly engaged. I have nothing to loose going to ABTA i have already lost £280

We went with Goldtrail in September and the only trouble we had was trying to confirm thre flights. I got through to one place and was directed to another . I eventually phoned the Fethiyre office and refused to take the number in Istanbul or wherever and was given confirmation by them.
Must admit to being relieved when the transport did turn up though.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I have successfully got money back in situations like this, so don't give up.
If you paid by credit card, you could try getting your money back from the Credit Card company under the Consumer Credit Act.
