Hi everybody - My first time on the forum. Bought a villa from Hanel Houses on the seaside development, will be ready next May (hopefully).Has anyone else bought on this development? I visited Turkey for the first time in july with an organised inspection trip with a guy called Guray from Hanel Houses. I was so impressed I did not hesitate but to buy. I think there will be a good return on good  quality property in this area and Calis is very much 'up and coming'.

hi peter

welcome

my wife and I bought one of the properties within the seaside complex from Lagoon Agency during the summer(assuming it is the same one as you) - to be completed in May - number 24.

we have not been back since then and are not too familiar with Calis but have been trying to keep up with events and familiarise myself through the forum - really great crowd in here

the complex is at the far end of Calis beach (west end) and as you say - only stepping stones away from the shore

hope you have all the luck in the world

regards

bob

Hi everybody

Thanks for your comments.

Bob is your property on the 'Seaside' development being built by Hanel Houses?

Peter - maybe with a bit of luck you may find a thumbnail photo of complex - trying to follow Scunner's directions.

I caught your message on the other thread 'In for a penny in for a £' - within the complex photo the max villa is number 42 and I note you are saying number 43 ??

Bob

Bob- for some reason the villas go from 1 to 42 and 43 is between numbers 4 and 5 in the bottom corner facing the beach.

How do I see the thumbnails of the site?

Yes peter have got it now

The thumbnail was taken from a scanned picture of which I suspect will be too big if I print straight - no matter - as it is indeed the same complex

We purchased from Lagoon Estates

When were you last out there and have you had any details from Hanel on work having re-started?

I have not as yet come across any other maember of the forum who own property on the complex - although we did meet a couple of neighbours in July when we were out there

Anway as previously mentioned good luck in the endeavour and am sure we will bump into each other somewhere along the line

The good people on this forum are really helpul; I am certain if problems arrive or quidance is required they will have the answer somewhere

Regards

Bob

Bob - I was out there in July. Work restarted at the beginning of October. They are scheduled for completion in May. I am not sure whether to book a flight now or wait until nearer the time.

If I book now and the villa isn't ready on time it will be a wasted journey.

I have someone keeping an eye on the progress who will email me photographs as the site progresses. I will forward them on to you if you like.

Hi Paul - I found Hanel House very professional and I would also recommend them. I saw Lissa Park, its like a little paradise. The water feature is really beautiful.

Also chucking down here in Lancashire. When do you take posession of the property?

We have bought on Lissa Park and, yes, it is like a little paradise, but there have been a lot of teething troubles, particularly with plumbing, and some still haven't been resolved.   I think it has been a sharp learning curve for Hanel, and hopefully the problems at Lissa Park will not be repeated at their other developments.

Please feel free to email us if you would like to know anything else.

What were the teething problems on Lissa Park.I am lead to believe that Hanel are great believers in water features and Lissa Park is a prime example. These features obviously need to be carefully linked into the overall plumbing system. Has it effected the domstic supply?

Peter, await army checks before i get deeds. Hopefully it will all be mine in next 2 months. In meantime hanel are happy for me to have it occupied. heard of some probs with feature but no probs with internal water/plumbing and communal pool was great. Ill have a further update when my friend returns from there next week.

There have been horrendous internal water/plumbing problems on Lissa Park, some of which we understand are still continuing.   One of our neighbours has had the same internal wall demolished at least four times trying to trace leaks.   Also, the water feature was not working at all while we were there in September and the underground room was frequently flooded.  There were also problems with the outside lighting.  Hanel were waiting for a new control box to arrive, so hopefully that has been fitted by now.

I am sure they will put these matters right. They certainly will not want any bad publicity because they tend use Lissa Park as a yard stick and example of standards for future projects not the least Lissa Links next door. I think (correct me if I am wrong) Lissa Park
was one of if not the first development of Hanel Houses to be completed. I just hope they are learning from their mistakes.
