planning as trip to london in the new year and thought id better give my ageing mother a visit in scotland....soo... looked at london to prestwick...sounds good.. 3pounds each way x three 18...swallowed the extra baggage part at 30 pounds a head return and went on booking...charge showed up as 48 pounds for 3 of us return... that uncluded one check in bag a 15 kilos....so booked it on my debit card then the sting!! booked invoice came up as 78 pounds..showing a charge of 3x10 card fee on top
still cheap i guess but a little misleading i think.
-
Uncluded! is that a new word in flight booking:D
-
did it not say that they had a £10 pp card fee. The thing is you have to pay by card as it is only online booking - scoundrels
-
...and the processing costs don't vary according to number of passengers, it's one transaction!
-
... and profits are up !
-
you got a full time job there tinker if you pick up on my typos
-
I actually think its a good word in this context ;)
-
scunner is right its one transaction and gb scoundrels indeed
i was charged 3 times for it
as far as i could see there was no mention of credit card costs before i pressed the book it button
i used a visa debit card as they have no costs to process and usually exempt from charges
if i had known i would have used visa credit card that would have cost them 3percent i think and given me a lot more protection
anyway not a lot you can do about it except moan and warn other people
good job am not traveling with and booked for a big family or football team

I have a Visa Electron card which I use when booking with Ryanair, and they don't charge for that one. I don't think that will help me when they start charging to use the loo though!
-
Has anyone questioned Ryanair over this?
-
Unfortunately, it's in black and white..

In the paper today they are saying unless they get a real good deal from Boeing for 200 planes they want that prices will start to rise next year.
Problem is they are getting too big and will fly more people into the UK than BA this winter. As more and more airlines go under he knows that he will be able to charge what he wants.

profit up due to 40% fuel price drop ! not the same at the petrol pumps for us.we need someone to compete with T cook on uk 2 dlm, as prices continue to rise.
