We are in Fethyie on a short visit (3 nights) to sign up for our Ovackik apartment, any recommendations for a nice place to eat. Thanks.

Flamingos on the Fethiye prom seem to be the 'in' place at the moment and getting some very good reviews.

Ronnie at the Irish bar near the culture centre cooks a British style meal if you want something like pie and chips. There is a Burger King opposite the Carrefour and there are places in the central old town which serve Turkish meals. You have quite a choice really. The supermarkets also have cafe's. Opposite the bus station is the Gar Lokanta which is open all hours.
If you want a more expensive restaurant there is the Sarafane at the Atapark Hotel along near Karagozler 2 or Kale Park in Fethiye towards the ruined castle.
Ovacik and Hisaronu still have restaurants open during the winter too, though not as many as in the summer season.

We ate there in September and it was very good. Location might make it a little chill this late on in the year.

Kale Park, as the views over Fethiye are spectacular plus in the colder weather you can sit behind the full glass windows.

Shanghai Blues, Four Seasons, Pizza Pepino and Abrakebabrah are all open in Hisaronu/Ovacik. You'll get a good meal in any of these.

Megri Locanta for me (next to Duck Pond on main road), wonderful Turkish food, excellent service and reasonably priced for what you get !!! - Enjoy your visit

Superb tips, there on my list and a trip to Ovacik is now on the cards as well, we want to gauge the place during the out of season peak time so a meal at night will compliment the day vists. Thanks again. (We are actually staying at the Ata park so that tip is a good one) :).

I agree with valleyboy (and not because we're both Welsh!!). The Megri is fab. Garlic or cheesey mushrooms to start. Hubby has had the seafood spaghetti a couple of times, and the prawns are HUGE.
Great place to eat. :)
