The clock on my PC shows the correct time but outgoing e mails show the time as one hour behind.
Any suggestions as to how this happened and how I can correct it[?]
-
Sounds like while your time is right but your time zone setting or daylight saving option might be incorrect. Check that at Control Panel - date and time settings.

Keith,
Control panel shows me on GMT standard time and the date and clock show current UK date/time.

Have you ticked the box "automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes" in the time zone tab?

Everything on the computer is correct for time/date/time zone/daylight saving changes/on screen time display.
Sent e mails always show the time sent as exactly one hour behind.
Not a real problem but irritating.
-
Does it show the wrong time as you create the email or is it the wrong time that people see who recieve it?
-
When creating an e mail the only time visible is the on screen time display which is correct.
Only on the received message was the time out.Verified by retrieving the mail from the sent file.
However, whatever caused the problem now seems to have gone as I sent a few trial e mails minutes ago and they came out with the correct time.
????
Thanks for the interest

Sounds to me your ISP had not changed the time on their mail servers
