I dont really need a hotel in Glasgow either Scunner as we are only 40 mins away in Helensburgh, but at £1 it was a good deal as we are going shopping that day and dont have to be in work on the Monday. So really I can do Sat 12th too but hubby maybe a bit tender as its his Christmas night out the previous evening. :D

Ok if anyone is around on the 12th Dec how about a "wee soirée" in the Millennium hotel at George square? I propose meeting at 1pm in main lounge area off George square. It wouldn't have to be for long as I know people will be busy at this time of year. Any takers? :D

Thanks for the info Lynne, booked last night for a weekend in December for the two of us for £2.00.  Sorry, it's not the 12th weekend as I see this morning you are booking for that date, but hope you all have a good time.  
Have not been to Glasgow for ages, any tips about shopping and also good restaurants to try. I am going to see if there is anything on the theatre, but it will probably be panto.... Before you say it Keith... Oh, no it's not....  :)

Jacqui there are numerous great restaurants now in and around the Merchant City area.  Shopping is still best in Buchanan Street and the surrounding area.  Enjoy:D

Seriously, we have booked a couple of Saturdays in Birmingham - it's cheaper than a taxi after a night out and no waiting in queues!

I think Anne, you have left it too late as these deals go really quickly and the offer has been on for nearly a day.
