Title: English goods.
Post by: mercury on November 17, 2009, 22:04:51 PM
I am trying to put together an English goods hamper. If there is anyone out there who has ( or can bring ) Items that we Brits are desperate for. It will be received gratefully. All proceeds for the local kids. Marmite, corned beef, Tinned ham, coffee. Sponge puddings, custard powder, salad cream. Paxo stuffing. H.P sauce. Packet goods. etc. etc. You know the sort of thing.  Sorry we cannot accept fresh food.. I know that most things can be bought here but sooo!! expensive.  Thank you very much. I will collect.

As you bought Barrie a dishwasher - can I bring you some English stuff at Christmas (arrive 28th Dec for a week) or is that too late ???

Ps He said the dishwasher had very long legs and very blond hair  ;)

It's never too late Ian. You brought us an excellent selection last year. (For which we are grateful). The blonde. Was it male or female.? I need to be having a word with Barrie.

Any donations any time are welcome. Maybe some of you who are living here could raid your cupboards now that you realise that you can live without some things.

Great thank you. I will e.mail you my phone number Anne. If anyone else can find a small space for our hamper please can you try to bring (or give) a donation. Packets don't weigh much and it IS for a very good cause.
