Title: Meet Lucky

Yesterday the lads from Dawn Beach, Erdal and Umit, were on their way down to Dalaman to pick up Eko as he was returning from his England trip.

On their journey down there they saw a dog that was lying by the main road just passed the Katranci Beach turn off, They stopped looked at the dog and saw it had been hit by a car and had a gashed head and was very unstable:(

They phoned us to see what they should do, we in turn phoned Simon who rushed out to the area to find the dog, unfortunately he had wandered off by the time he got there, after spending an hour looking had to return home without him:(

A little while later the lads from Dawn Beach pulled up with the mini bus with dog inside, they found it in the central reservation on their return journey :)

They took it straight up to Kerem the vet (by Cafe Pazar) he was actually moving home but dropped everything and took the dog in,
he immediatley gave it injections and kept it over night on a drip getting up every fews hours to check on it. :)

This morning he had to take it to Kentvet for x rays to see what damage was done, luckily nothing broken but very emaciated, a bacterial infection, blood count very low and had stomache problems,
it will now stay there for a few days on a drip and a few more injections, then hopefully it will come back to our house for a bit of TLC for a few weeks :)

All in a days work for the Animal Aid team, but special thanks to Dawn Beach lads, Kerem and Kentvet for all their help :)

Poor Lucky looks just so sad but I know with the love and care you will give him he will soon be feeling better.

Well done to the Dawn Beach lads also, if they had not picked him up, well it does not bear thinking about.

Brings a lump to my throat every time, thats if I am not blarting!

Hopefully he will be able to go to his new foster home tommorow (tinkermans) where he will need to stay untill fully recovered.
We will then be trying to find him a new home.

Waiting to meet with friend who will have some doggie 'toys' they come from the cheap shops so may not last long. However, once I have them will post over.

I think the thanks should go to you guys for all the hard work you do on behalf of all of us.

He also loves his matching new brown leather collar and lead, dinner bowl and he's eaten the bones:D

Thanks again, he's coming along just fine, very playful, I think we will be looking to re-home him in the New Year ;)
