The American Company Hershey's are now making a bid for the British Company Cadbury's. If you don't want yet another British Company to fall into foreign hands and for British workers to loose their jobs. read the story and then sign the online petition at www.mailonsunday.co.uk/cadbury
-
Stuff it, let it go. All our other manufacturing has so it's hardly worth signing anything.
-
Come on Keith think of the people in Calis who long for some Cadbury's chocolate... Have you every tasted a Hershey Bar? yuk!!!!!!!!
-
I had thought it was Nestle who were interested in Cadbury.
-

As soon as I read the title I thought of Hersheys. That stuff tastes like it has b... No I wont say. But it is vile [xx(]

Some of Cadburys products are already made abroad,I believe.Years ago Cadbury/Schweppes were buying up all the soft drinks companys in the USA.Half of London is owned by Arabs, and so it goes on.
-
Hersheys is made with sour milk for historic reasons, hence the peculiar taste. there is no reason to think they would inflict it on to the rest of the world.

Steve.
It's not really a matter of the produce tasting the same it's the fact that British Workers will loose their jobs.
Kraft bought Terry's and promised no redundancies, but they closed the factory and moved production abroad and over 300 workers lost their jobs. So we still buy the product and we help the economy of Poland and Slovenia.
So, nothing has changed?

Very good point, very nicely made. I accept without reservation your assessment, foolishly i had not considered the employment aspect.
Thanks for a courteous reply.

Why is everyone quoting everyone and getting it totally wrong? Not knowing how to use 'reply with quote' makes reading what you have to say near on impossible. You don't need to quote the person above you, they posted immediately before you - we can see them, above you!!!
If you MUST insist on quoting...
