Have reached my due date today, any ladies out there with any new ideas as to ;) how to get this baby out!
-
Hot bath, hot curry, hot *** (thats how you got to this state in the first place)! A nice long walk, but then in this weather and depending upon what part of the Uk you reside in you may have to resort to walking up and down the stairs. Keep your back straight, legs apart and walk up as if your feet have to touch the side of the stairs where it reaches the wall. This encourages everything to naturally move downwards....
Wishing you all the very best as you welcome your little bundle into the world.
-
yes I too wish you well with this momentous event. My daughter's baby is due on the 27th and the advice that has always been given to me is that baby will come when he /she is ready. ps -swear all you like and the very best of luck and let's all know the outcome.....

I had my 1st baby in September and was 8 days overdue.
I was SO fed up as it was so hot here at the time and I tried everything to bring the labour on but nothing worked. Think it's just a case of letting nature take it's course!!
-
Janice.I can't bear children, but I think childbirth would be the best option.[:o)][:o)]:D.Ask any man.Seriously,I hope you have an easy time,a lovely addition to your family, and a happy and healthy future together.Best wishes. :)
-
Don't ask me why..... but eating fresh pineapple is supposed to speed things up!!!
Good luck.
-
Put your feet up and relax while you can Janice. Baby won't come till he is ready.
Hope it is quick
-
"Rampant Rumpy-Pumpy" Lynne? :o
Bet that's the last thing Janice feels like (it does get a bit tricky at the end, and not as much fun as at the beginning :-\ :o:D ) What do these men know, lol [:o)]
All the very best, Janice. Hope your new little bundle is as beautiful as little Ayse. Make sure you post a photo for us. :)

Worked for us when our last one was overdue
and recommended by a midwife ;)
-
Stress or no but I'm fairly sure that Mum would hope for a "proper" boy!
-
Parachute jump.
Steve.
-
Yep...rumpy pumpy followed by a nice hot curry. I wouldn't try it the other way around though [xx(]
-

Ok, slightly rampant Rumpy-Pumpy, LOL! It's your choice Janice. Drag that bump about for another 10 days. Or persuade it out ;)

I did think that sounded slightly wrong when I read it back to myself :D A long walk really does help too...and first time around I found throwing a coffee table at my husband helped!!: :)
-
Thanks for all of your advise, have tried nearly all of them, unforunately still nothing happening :( I know it will come when its ready but Im desperate to get back to normal, i.e. not having to sit down half way up the stairs, or having to be physically removed from the sofa, tried a hot bath the other day and most of the water got out!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will keep you posted, once again thanks for the help :-\
-
Awww, poor you. It isn't funny is it!
-
I've got a pogo stick you could borrow....
honestly Rindi - is that your answer to everything ;):D :)
good luck Janice - it will be well worth the wait..just enjoy the peace and quiet while you can !
-
You'd have to ask Dave........
I was 10 days late with all 3 sons :-\
-
that wasn't entirely your fault though Lynne - Men, they are never there when you need them to be !
-
That is SO true.
-
Bloody women, got a small problem and moan moan moan!
Us blokes wouldn't complain about not being able to get up of the settee, just get the PS3 on and make us coffee
-
So you cant even be arsed to do a Wii!!
-
Too energetic
-
Ah, got it, THAT's why you had twins......
-
Yes, get it all done in one go, saves having another 9 months of moaning later! i wouldn't mind firing out a couple of babies twice in a life time. You women don't know how lucky you are. You don't have to shave every day (well some do but that's another story).
-
Hair Hair,Well said Keith. Why do they call it labour? It's easy.A couple of puffs and bingo.Back to the cooker!! [:o)][:o)] :)
-
Bingo as well? And still they moan!

Given the subject matter of this thread, a man must have been there when he was needed at some point ;)
