Title: Selling gold and gold prices
Post by: lynne on November 30, 2009, 18:22:43 PM
Just in case any of you are thinking of jumping on the bandwagon for selling your gold, I thought I would share this with you!

We had a little bit of gold I thought we could cash in on - my stepdaughter wanted a Wii!  In Birmingham City Centre, Rex Johnson and Co were offering £6.50 per gram.  I found a company in the Jewellery quarter and we got £8.49 per gram - a massive difference!  The website is www.scrapgolduk.com - today's price is £8.62!  If you are local to Birmingham, the chap is in the office 12 - 2pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  I was amazed at what we got for just a little bit of gold.  Avoid like the plague the ones where you post off your gold...the prices are terrible!

You read the Sun as well ;)

Interesting advert in the York Press tonight. Some company offering loans to car owners - get your money for xmas at a rate of around 435.4% APR. I don't have the paper handy but this company offers a similar deal:

Slightly off topic but in the same area ;)

My guess is you won't be a car owner for long if you take them up on that offer :o
