Title: Flying Onur for once!
Post by: stoop on November 30, 2009, 18:47:33 PM
Well it had to happen one day. I booked some good price flights this morning through www.A1Travel.com without knowing who the flights were with.

Going Manchester - Dalaman 11-06-10 until 25-06-10

Price includes 15kg hold luggage and 5kg hand luggage.

£198 pp

The flights are still available if anyone wants the same deal - over £250 each through Aeagean website as you have to pay for the luggage and seats together.

At £198 each it was too good to miss BUT I really didn't know it was them until it was too late.

I will write a review if we ever get back  ;):D

I have only ever flown with Onur for the past 7 times both Newcastle and Manchester to Dalaman. We have never had any problems with the flights,no delays just once have they changed our flight times which worked out better for us.So what is wrong with Onur they are much cheaper particularly from Northern airports.

Especially if you book early. I've booked May, July and September next year. All less than £165  8)

I love Onur Air no faffing about they  just get on with the job in hand, getting you to Turkey! I notice Stoop that you only have 15 kilo luggage allowance Onur have always been 20 kilos have they dropped their allowance to be in keeping with other airlines?

Karennina this is copied and pasted from one of my 2010 bookings. As I have qualified for this I don't know what the charges are to be.

"EARLY BOOKING BAGGAGE
For 2010 Aegean flights will be charging for hold baggage. However as an added benefit for booking early you will have 15kg of hold baggage included at no extra charge if you book before 1st July

Yes it is 15kg (wifey not happy as we got 20kg with BMI this year). However my main concern is not the baggage but the fact that they seem to alter their flight times so often. Not good when you have to book your holidays to fit in with work.

I've flown Pegasus once and they were ok - nothing special - I expect Onur to be similar.

At £198 each I was prepared to take the risk it might be Onur - others are asking £250+ for the same dates from Manchester.
