This poor dog was found by a Turkish man in Kargi yesterday.
She had been shot in the right front leg, and had been left to fend for herself.
She is 18 to 24 months old, and has not long ago been feeding
puppies.
At the moment she is at Kent vets, where they are looking after her they have said that her leg will be better in about 3 weeks time.
Its not the best place for her to be while she recovers, as she really needs to receive some tender love and care in a home environment.
Can anybody help her Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
We would also like to find her a permanent home.
Thank you
Animal Aid.

Breaks my heart as well, how can humans be so cruel....well they are inhuman aren't they, and they want shooting themselves.
What a sweet little dog, I really hope some kind person can offer a loving home to help her recover.

hi to you all melek had a very good day slept in the sun while i was out at the xmas fair. Tonight she cant seem to get comfitable, her leg is a little hot, but she has vet appointment in Morning. whoever gives her a permanent home will be so lucky, she is amazingly quick to learn, patient, affectionate, and copes wonderfully with her bad leg. She deserves the best of homes, so please someone come forward. Will keep nagging you until someone says yes, you have been warned:D more soon Maria xx

just a quick update, (see i told you i would keep on at you). Melek is doing really well and is well on the mend, she still rests alot, but yesterday she went for a gentle walk around the block, as opposed to around the garden, she coped ok but had had enought by the time we got back. She is a lovely natured dog, but does need clear rules (or she will take over), she is house trained and asked to go out. Answers to basic turkish commands (this is a work in progress). Please someone find her a home ask your friends family and neighbours. If someone want to come visit her please just contact me via my profile. merry xmas to you all regards Maria

melek is now ready to find a permanent home, the wound on her leg has healed she is up to weight and is ready to move on. The following pics have been taken today.
She is house trained, and very well behaved, prefers being outside, is quick to learn, but needs firm handling. She does not use the bad leg, but i hope with encouragment she will. If you want to know anything about her at all please just im me.
