Have you tried taking it out the envelope lance?
is the disc compatible with your players?
-
Lance - for future reference for your friends - there is usually an option to "finalise" a disk (DVD) after you have recorded something - this stops anyone recording over what you have recorded.
Generally a DVD will play on the machine on which it was recorded but more often than not will not play on other DVD players.
I found this out when I took over about 50 DVD's I had recorded at home!
I brought them home - put them back in the recorder and "finalised" each disk and they all play perfectly now.

Now how would i know that it just seems like a normal d.v.d.all other discs play on them ;)

Lance,
Ian is correct. Your friend would have needed to 'finalise' the disc/recording so that it's playable on other machines. I had the same problem with my recordings until I read the instructions.

Lance - all new DVD's and those purchased from "professional" pirate sources will be "finalised" - its the "every now and again men" - like me and you and your friends who forget to do it!!! ;)
Have a word with them and tell them to "finalise" each DVD to stop you having the problem again. :D
