Title: Restaurant opp Yasaroglu

I have heard there is now a restaurant opposite the Yasaroglu? Last time I was there, it was a barbers?
What type of restaurant is it, and any reviews? :)

Post by: Old Daffodil on December 30, 2009, 20:08:15 PM: The Yasaroglu have extended the front of the hotel to include a restaurant which is very popular in the summer months for breakfasts,lunches and dinners. The other night they threw a big party for anyone who wanted to attend and it really was a hit. Both Turkish and European people were having a great time and there was plenty of food and drink supplied. It went on into the early hours of the morning.Not many people were walking around Ovacik the next day!!Recovering I think.

The restaurant is fairly new and on land in front of the hotel,not opposite.

Maybe that is what you have heard about?:D

I stayed 2 years ago, it was a lovely, i got moved to another hotel though, long story!!
And it's central for everywhere.

The owners are an Ovacik family. Friends of mine went to their party last night but I have not seen them today!!Wonder why!Maybe still recovering.:D

Oh! by the way they are thinking of calling the restaurant the Sweeney Todd! (Only joking)

Post by: Old Daffodil on January 02, 2010, 14:23:29 PM: Just walked past Yasaroglu, they were very busy on New Years Eve,five course meal and entertainment. It was packed but hundreds of people went to Time Out,Zombie Bar,The Fez and Abrakadabrah. The Jandarma were about in Hisaronu but there was no trouble.Drinks were expensive at some bars where there was dancing,seven lira for a beer,kept the drinking down though. :)The YasarogluÂ is open and they were advertising English breakfasts, Casseroles and Pancakes for 15lira and Steak or Lamb with starter for 20lira among other things. Sunny today but storm clouds coming in over Babadag mountain. :)
