Title: Long Term Property Rental
Post by: LisaS on November 07, 2004, 10:46:32 AM
Morning all

I know I am a (very) infrequent poster, but I wonder if anyone can help me find information on long term property rental ie: the types of property available and costs etc.

My husband and I (and one cat) are in the early stages of planning a very probable move to the Calis area next year; around next September/October time.  Before we make the leap to purchase our own property we feel that it might be prudent to rent for a year so we can fully explore the locality before finally putting down roots.

Although I can find thousands of websites offering to sell me a villa, or rent me a villa in the holiday season; so far I have been unable to find any estate agents offering long term property rental.  Does anyone have any suggestions or can anyone suggest any links?

Thanks

Lisa

I was reliably informed that properrty prices are rising by 20% per month.  Buy a cheap place to live for a year then sell it on.  You can't lose whether you decide to stay or not.

Thanks Anne but we were more considering buying a plot of land so we would need somewhere to live when/if we decide to build.

Try www.landoflights.net and click on the Classified Adverts tab.

There is usual a section for renting properties.

Hope this helps

Hi LisaS

I have been signed up to Calis Chat for some time and this is my first post so bear with me please.

I also would like to rent at present rather than buy, but it is not possible at this immediate time, however I do check websites regulary.

Hi Lisa/ Linda,

My partner and I brought two properties, one to holiday/live in and one for investment only. The one for "investment only" was just going to sit there doing nothing, probably let some friends stay in it but that was all. If you require long term rental please let us know, it would assist us as well as assisting yourself. Its a large two bed apartment, Calis, fully furnished, pool etc etc. If you wish to discuss or require piccies please email me and give us some more details of your requirements.

PS, don't mind the cat, we have two ourselves being jetted over next year.

If you are still interested in renting a property long-term from September/October I may be able to put you in touch with someone who has a 3-bedroom house to rent at a very reasonable rate.

I have bought in Calis and would be happy to rent out long term, I would need some time myslef but only probably 4 to 6 weeks a year. Brand new  villa due completion in May. Email me if anyone is interested. :)
