Topcashback is a website that gives you back a percentage of what you spend online at many of the big High Street shops and big internet names.
They will donate 50p for each person who signs up before next Friday, 29th January to the Haiti Disaster Emergency Commission
You don't have to buy anything, or give any financial details - just sign up as a member and get an email now and again. Our link is...

Mission completed but cannot understand why so few people have bothered to help using this easy method of contributing Wonderful idea Keith Thank you
-
You can't assume they haven't just because they haven't posted, or that they haven't made a donation in some other way, a quid in a bucket, an online donation etc etc etc or both.

An easier method is to donate to the many approved ones being advertised widely in the media. You then donate knowing full well your donation is actually going to where you want it to go.
All this site is saying is, sign up and we will donate 50p because you have signed up and agree to certain conditions.
From where I am sitting it seems strange that an internet site like this is being recommended at all.But then having delved into this site a bit closer I can see a connection.
-
We have several charities who appreciate donations on this site. The Haiti one is a way we can introduce another very worthy cause without having another post asking for money. If you have a problem with it "being recommend at all", tough, who cares.
-
Ouch that seemed to have touched a nerve.
No I dont have a problem with it at all. Seems you do though.
I was just replying to a post as to why more people have not registered with this site who are donating all these 50ps.
Am I not allowed to make a post then. Or is that against your rules.
-
Do you know, if you said different things or tried different ways to complain you'd possibly last longer on here before drawing attention to yourself. Nob.
Bye (again :D )
-
Im in, I didn't see any ref to the 50p donation though, hope they are still doing it.
-
Spotted it now on their website :-\

How do we know how many people have signed up? Perhaps lots of people have subscribed but just have not said they have!
-
I'm in as well :)
I find it hard to understand why there have been uncharitable comments made about this site? What is wrong with a site that guarantees a charitable donation of 50p (irrespective of which charity), at no personal cost (other than perhaps a few emails)?
Donations can still be made via other routes as well if desired, and I am grateful that this site was brought to my attention, otherwise I (and I guess many others) would have been totally unaware of its existance.

Have just done, am quite interested in using the website (had never heard of it so thanks for that Scunner!)as I noticed there were quite a few companies offering cashback that I use particularly the one I use to book my airport parking with, can anyone explain please how it works?
-
Karennina, its dead easy, if you want to order something online go to the 'topcash' site search for that company if they are on topcash it will tell you what % discount you will get. Then you click on the link to that site from the topcash website and order your stuff as usual. then after a while usually 1 - 3 months you get your cash sent either to you by cheque or paid direct to your account.
The big cashback often comes from insurance (car, house etc) and utilities. I have just got £70 for changing from British gas to Eon as well as saving about £230 on my bill. An alternative to topcash is 'Quidco' but they charge you £5 per year out of your earnings.
-
I signed up two days ago. Didn't know the sign up police neended me to say so.
Actually I forgot to say because I went wandering around on the site like Kareninna and found it pretty good:D
-
Certainly
You book by going to the website you want to book your parking on by clicking on the link from Topcashback. They track it, and when you have enough savings built up, they put it in your bank account. You have to arrive at the place you are going to spend money on from them, that's all - the parking website is exactly the same, prices the same etc :)
