I know their place in Oludeniz. Excellent food, will definately try their new place in Fethiye. Wish them good luck. Fethiye needs this kind of qualified restaurants.

Bufalows? If they do well they could change the name to Bufahighs

I agree with Cenk, it is great to see good quality restaurants opening in the area. Especially any that offer a different menu to the "international menu" that so many copy from each other. Have they avoided the rice/chips/salad trap too?

I admire your courage .. I remember a Vet telling me that you will never find one of his profession eating undercooked meat as they know too much.  Unfortunately, I asked him, now I know too much as well:(

My brother is a doctor of some standing (and some sitting down), and he told me the same. Luckily, I didn't ask or hear what the too much they knew might be. Go for it Nichola, it's the only way when it comes to steak  :)

If you were heading up to Fethiye from Calis on the road that has the sea directly to the right of it (the new prom with the new restaurants), where the sea right angles you should look left and see it.

No problem at least I know general direction of the place, just another place Id like to try in April when out with no kids mind you dont think we are going to have enough days & nights for everywhere we want to go.
The idea of no one complaining we have made them walk too far or that they want to go back to the pool or they are fed up that they have to wait too long for there dinner in the restaurants, cant wait peace & quiet. (love my children really)

Imagine standing with your back to the cultural centre in Fethiye and look towards Çalis.

Walk towards Çalis harbour on left past the bars and restaurants on the right - where the Irish Bar and Kizmet Bar are.

When you get to the end of them you'll come to a road. Look to your right across the road and you will see it there.

Jenny, down the mountain take the first left (not the switch back road) its on the left about 200 yards, very good place for a fun night, i think he does the Elvis show on a Wednesday, but the ribs are well worth the trip.

We went on Friday for the 1st time and will definately go again.
Surroundings, ambience and service all top notch.
Cosy and live music not too invasive.
There was a female vocalist and a guitarist playing covers of english and turkish ballads, very enjoyable.
Food is excellent, well presented and plenty of it.
There is a seperate room where you can paly billiards and you can eat the bar if you choose.
We both had steaks and they were cooked properly, served piping hot.
I noticed there are plenty of choices on the menu with many dishes under 10 TL.
Well worth a visit.
And as for Elvis - good fun.

Went there yesterday afternoon. Really excellent food and service, and a lovely atmosphere. We had schnitzel and pork chops, yum yum.
They have a seperated pool & dart room with a small library. An interesting thing... They give free limousine pick up (only pick up, no return) service, if you are more than 4, up to 7 pax.
There is live music, from wednesday to saturday.

Once again it doesn't matter that someone decided to try to raise the level, or offer something not previously available in the area. Once again the only comparison worth commenting on is how much they sell beer for. Incredible.

Maybe future new ventures will take heed and everyone can sit on the floor drinking Tuborg out of old buckets.

Well said! If the price of beer is your only concern when looking for a night out then im sure that there are plenty of venues in the area that will accomadate you. I for one am pleased to see an attempt to raise the standards and provide a unique dinning/entertainment experience.

Yes thats ok raising the standard for people who can afford it. There are some people living here on a budget and i think its good that somebody compared the price of beer for people like us. Yes if it means sitting on chairs not as comfortable for 2 and a half lira then fine. Let everyone know how much beer is cause not everyone can go out at weekends and sit and drink beer at 6 lira a pint.

Efes in Buffalo is 5 tl same as most bars in the Pasputer.
Carlsberg and Tuborg are totally different I used to sell both in my pub, If the stuff they sell as Tuborg for 2.5 tl is all I could get I would go T total tomorrow
We thought the Buffallo was excellent for a special occasion, it is somewhere different to the norm.

I've never known a place where people on a budget are as well catered for. I do take your point but the only comparison some people work by is the price of the beer and that is peculiar and rather sad. In truth it is quite obvious that the Buffalo Steak House, with it's exciting new menu and rave reviews was hardly likely to be competing with Anna Bar on the price of a pint.

I had a swift beer at a restaurant under the clock tower in historic Bruges, it was wonderful but way more expensive than a similar beer in my local Wetherspoons. You see? Not worthy of mention really.

Just as Scunner says. Its up to people what they want.
I am so pleased that we have The Buffalo as its raising the bar a bit in Fethiye.
I went for dinner on Sunday - superb as usual, and as a frequent diner was given the new Buffalo loyalty card which entitles you to a percentage off every time you dine. Great idea !
They validated it straight away and took 10 per cent off my bill.
I am looking forward to the summer when it will be possible to sit outside too.
I will be taking all my summer visitors along as i know once they try the food they will be back.
Well done Paul for having the foresight and money to invest in such a lovely idea.

Someone is trying to make a qualifed thing in Fethiye. Please do not try to damage it with beer price wars. They have menu on the tables and outside of restaurant. If you think that, their prices are not worth, you can go wherever you will be happier.

I am tired of carbon copy menus, and appreciate some one who try to make different and good things. Will definately go there again and again.

It would be very amusing if the beer price decision went something like this...

"How much did you say we need to charge for a beer to get the daily British drinkers in?"

"No more than 3 lira"

"Ok we'll make it 6"

:D

Price of beer never figures in where we are going to eat.  It is the choice on the menu and if it seems reasonable for what we are getting - Food quality, surroundings, service, ambiance etc etc.  If you are going to choose by the price of the beer, well you get what you pay for!

we are looking forward to visiting the Buffalo at Easter.  Yes we adore Turkish food, but we also like variety and this looks like it offers something different.  Our teenage visitors are already excited about trying it out because it offers something they appreciate too.

After seeing the reviews here for the Fethiye Buffalo went on Wednesday night and thought the food was slightly expensive 39 Lira for a TBone steak average price around the Fethiye area is around 23-27 Lira Efes 6 Lira average in area 3.50 Lira asked for the steaks to be cooked well done and we got it blood raw in the middle (I have learn't never to complain and return food in a resturant, seen first hand what chefs do to the food before it's returned to you) so just tried eating it the steak was very tough and hard to chew also was supposed to have garlic butter but none came with it, also another of the party had the BBQ ribs which turned up without any BBQ sauce? Can't fault the resturant on decor, live music was great and the bread/ salad/ accompanements and serving staff were superb, shame as it has spoilt the place for us, maybe new chef, maybe a one off issue? Was also asked if we had a Buffalo discount card after maybe this would have made a difference on the prices:(?

Ate here twice when we were over for 12 days a week ago, first night was Elvis night 5 of us, had a great night and went back with my husband a few on the Wednesday enjoyed my meal both times.

I thought blood was running out of my steak but it was the beetroot!!!
My husband said my face was a picture until I realised what it was.

We will go back again in June and have even asked to book the limo as it is my sister in laws birthday.

Hey never be afraid to complain! if you are not happy then how can the restaurant have a chance to put it right? We have had several excellent meals at the Buffalo but on one occasion my husbands steak was tough. He told the waiter who brought Paul the owner over who apologised profusely. The steak was replaced and was delicious and the chef came out personally to check we were ok.Result!
