Title: the dreaded transfers
Post by: laffa on February 10, 2010, 22:24:23 PM
Just been on Fb, and mentioned transfers, there was a good response from the Calis crew, so I thought I would ask again on the forum,  who, and how much, and reliability, it does appear that the prices are  varied, Baz suggested a taxi @ 80lira, which if there are 4 its not bad,& if the luggage fits in, but we are looking for a best price,

Have a word with Nikkie (sunnyD), she can get a discount for CBF members, I can't remember how much they are but nice A/C minibuses - plenty of room for 5 plus luggage.

I mostly use Resorthoppa, £16 return for 1.
Nice air con minibus, and never had to wait more than 15 mins for it to set off from airport.
Apparently some peple have mentioned they have to wait for the bus to fill up , from different flights, before they set off, I have never experienced this.

gave up on transfers years ago, been quoted £80 return to calis, I can hire a car for four days for that amount and the guy meets our flight, and drops us off.

Travel Republic is good for one or two people at £16 per person return, but if you're not sure when you are going back and book one way to Calis, you can not book a single back to Dalaman. Alan

Moe, for up to 4 people -private transfer- cafe pazar £30 each way. Sometimes they do shared at £10 pp each if only 2. Larger parties Orange. £80 return up to 7 people. Holiday taxi's and travel republic are Ok but can take a lot longer as they sometimes wait for other flights to arrive, also will only drop off at hotels not private addresses. I have contact for both.

laffa...have you considered hiring a car from the airport to your destination for the duration then returning it to the airport...£20 to £25 per day hire charge per day...this would then give you a chance to explore further a field as well...7 days hire would charge you £140 to £175 per week, depending on hire company, thus saving you £35 to £40 each way on transfer fees...its a thought worth considering.

Cafe Pazar fantastic service, have never let us down yet, their drivers also check where you are leaving from before your airport journey so the driver does not get lost on your return transfer. Brilliant service I think.

Sorry Brian, have just gone back to page 2 and saw your post, if it was just 2 of us hiring would be an option, but we will have family with us this time and are returning different dates.
