Title: Patara
Post by: Jenny1 on February 16, 2010, 21:03:53 PM
Hi
I am coming over in June for 10 days. While I am there I am planning to stay in Kas for 2 days.
I would like to know if there is a dolmus that goes to Patara or would I have to do an organised trip?  :)

I'm not sure about a direct Dolmus from Kas but you can get a Dolmus to Kalkan then one from there to Patara

Any of the buses or dolmuses that use the D400 will stop at the Patara turning. From there you can get a dolmus into Patara or use one of the Taxis that's always waiting for a fare on the junction.

When you travel from Dalaman the big road that you pick up which takes you to Fethiye and beyond to Antalya etc. is the D400. It's number is on the sign post a lot of the time.

It seems to start at Datca and Mugla then takes you a long way to the east side of Turkey following the coast a lot of the way, although from Fethiye to Antalya it does go across the mountains more. The big roads in Turkey have numbers like the main roads in Britain.

Daffodil,

The D400 follows the coast. It's the D350 that goes over the mountains between Fethiye and Antalya.

Yes you are right. It is the D350 over the mountains. The D400 goes along the coast.Where does it end in the east?
