Title: New Tyres - this company worth a look.
Post by: stoop on March 26, 2010, 09:31:37 AM
I've just had to shell out for 2 new tyres on my Cmax and 4 new ones on the wife's MGZR (tyres on this one 7.5 years old with loads of tread left but starting to perish). Costly or what?

Anyway - after shopping around for a week or so I stumbled upon

http://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk

Got 2 x 205x55x16v Avon ZV5 tyres for my motor for £130.00 and 4 205x50x16v Avon ZV5 tyres for the MG for £303.00

You buy them on line and book in at the nearest authorised garage.

Whilst having the Cmax tyres fitted I asked for a quote for the MG - same tyres with them were £111.00 each but on special offer of buy 3 get the last one free which bizarrely worked out at £345.00.

Needless to say I have just booked in the same garage for Monday and paid £303.00 for the 4.

quick-fit look good until you then add wheel balancing and valves. Adds £40 to what I just paid for 4 Avon ZV5's.

Swings and roundabouts with some tyres being cheaper at some outlets I guess - however after shopping round I still found tyreshopper the cheapest. My mate put 4 on his Audi A4 estate last week and I found out the other night that he also used tyreshopper as he found them the cheapest for his motor as well.
