We also went to festival on the Saturday early evening Really enjoyed it and did manage to buy some Morel mushrooms We only got the 15 lira bag but it did have 21 mushrooms in They were delicious so looking forward to next year and will get the larger bags Unsure where the mushrooms came from originally though as the man selling them travelled with us on the dolmus from Fethiye with his precious load

Excellent, Thanks for pictures.:D
-
In another adjacent topic it said it was attended by thousands of Turks. So where are they? They can't all be in the loo:D
-
They were all up in the mountains looking for the abominable mushroom:D
-
I went to Nif cherry festival last year and there were loads of huge cherries for sale. I thought that it was quiet for a festival until later in the evening when suddenly hundreds of people arrived to hear the music. The same thing seems to happen at most festivals, Turkish people arrive late in the evening, but then they are probably working during the day.
I think that the festivals enable you too meet Turkish people whom you would not normally come into contact with as a tourist. People who are farmers etc.

Never spoke a truer word Daffodil, the village was buzzing every evening !!! as stated before a pity more of the expat community didnt venture out !! dont Know if this will get back to the organisers ,i would like to thank them for their hard work organising a wonderful weekend .Regards Calvin
