Have we got nothing to talk about apart from menu's from restaurants?
This is an interesting village full of interesting people (both local Turks and Expats) who used to have something to say. What's happened?
It may have got rather heated, on occasions, but that is life. It clears the air, people have their say, and we move on.
I live in the village and can't even be bothered to read the posts!
Surely there's more to life than a menu!.
Did you all know Mustafa (cadianda restaurant) had been in an accident?
-
Yes posted news about Mustapha last week !!!
-
It's really not boring here! Uzumluites know what is going on here - just keep it to ourselves!!
-
Yes!! not even telling peecee, a fellow Uzumlite.(see how polite I've become, I never even mentioned hillbillies):D:D
-
I Like boring. :D

The mushroom festival was a great success with all sorts of activities. It was a credit to the organizers and all those who took part. It was attended by thousands of Turks from far and wide but barely a word of praise from the local Uzumlites.
-
is there mushroom left to build on out there:D:D
-
Shame they didnt have any mushrooms at the festival:D
Anyways how can it be boring the Pookies are there ;)

New to Forum but felt I had to have my say in response to Peece comment above - thank god people keep postings up-to-date about what is going on whatever the subject, you may think posting a subject on restaurants/menu's is not a worthwhile topic but so glad it was posted as the food was great and a most enjoyable evening, where we also met and talked to a number of old and new interesting friends!
I don't go out much so appreciate being kept up-to-date with what is going on so I can pick my entertainment wisely!
-
Is it boring or just so relaxed nobody gets round to posting.
I for one seldom go near a computer on holiday.
-
Certainly not boring madam! there are plenty of residents who live here all year round not just tourists visiting or property owners! And quite agree why on holiday waste time on a PC, however, if it wasn't for this forum issues such like the burgarlies, cement factory etc would not be highlighted for everyones benefit!
-
Gingernut, that's my point exactly. whilst it is wonderful that we know (in advance) what the restaurants are planning surely we, as a community, have more to discuss?
For instance, isn't great that the burglaries seem to have come to a halt since the large expat meeting in January? Well done, Andrew and Glenda for getting the ball rolling!.
How is the Volcano going to affect the village? Have people rented their houses and the visitors not been able to come? Will this affect the community as whole?
We must have thoughts about what is happening so why don't we voice them?
-
You start we will follow!!!!!
-
Thats a no then!!!!
-
:-\
-
Perhaps I'd logged off by then Calvin?
IMO I think the work that Andrew and Glenda have done is fantastic and I'm glad someone finally decided to do something about the burglaries. For the time being they seemed to have stopped, perhaps the original big meeting had the desired effect and the message got round to the villagers that 'enough was enough'?
But, will they start again in Summer when the tourists are here?
What do you think?

Isnt it funny ,we asked Iceland for Cash and all we got was ASH ,short changed again!!!!!
