We all have our favourite restaurants, but what is important is, it would be difficult to get a bad meal in Calis.  All the restaurants work really hard to give us tourists great meals at very reasonable prices.  I know you will be spoilt for choice.

There are some great restaurants in calis, quite a few of them seel very similar food, it is a lot cheaper than you eat out at home, beer cheaper, spirits about the same, sure you will love it, it is the most chilled out place in turkey.

I would definately try the bbq at Bostans on the seafront. At the moment they are doing one every Sat night.... 20tl all you can eat, and the menu includes chicken, steak, lamb, kebabs, fish, liver, mezes and baklava to follow. Excellent value and excellent food!

Ocakbasi near trampoline park which is about 100yards beyond hello cafe. ie across from the heads on Kordon.
And there are loads of small places around town.

If you are staying in Calis the best Traditional Turkish restaurant is the Sardunya Restaurant, opposite Scarlets Bar. Great food.  My husband is mad about the liver and onions, which is nothing like the meal you get in the U.K.  The Meze is really good too, the prices are really reasonable.

Thanks Jacqu sounds like one we must try.
As we don't know Calis - is this on the front and if so at which end?
Do you have any other recomendations in the area as we are going to hire a car for a few days to get out & about.
Thanks Again

No the Sardunya is just off the main street you will see the Dawn Beach restaurant, turn up that street you will see Scarlets Bar, Sardunya is opposite.
Restaurants we use in Calis on the Seafront are Georges (our personal favourite), Chinese Breeze, Casa Di Mama, Orient Express, Nil Bar, Bella Mamas  in fact, walk into any restaurant on the seafront and you will have a great meal.
For a lunchtime treat out of Calis we love the Kale Park, Fethiye with fabulous views over
the town and across sea.  If you are going to hire a car, get in touch with Nikkie (Sunnyd) moderator on the forum she will arrange it for you and get you the CBF discount.

I agree with Jacqui, Sardunya is very nice. However ,if you venture into FETHIYE,give Kraal Restaurant a look, basic, good Turkish food served with a smile & the prices are very reasonable. The street opposite the obololisk on the end of Fethiye Marina.Lovely

Try Guven's Restaurant.  Right next to the Dolmus station. On the beach front and fantastic sunset views!   8)
