Title: TV/HDMI Problem
Post by: Scunner on April 28, 2010, 09:56:44 AM
Just in case anyone can help I thought I'd ask  :)

I have a problem since moving with the telly :-\

TV works fine (analogue) but I have a problem with sound with anything plugged in using HDMI - it's really odd. DVD player plays DVD films with no problems but CDs have a problem where the sound cuts out every 2 minutes approximately for about 2 seconds.

PS3 has a similar problem - games play without problem but DVDs have the same sound cut out as CDs (at same times too).

I've tried changing everything - changing lead to a different HDMI input doesn't solve it, changing HDMI lead doesn't help and both problems don't happen if connected to a different tv [8)]

Any suggestions might just help me keep what sanity I have left, thanks  :)

Sounds odd - have you tried going into options/settings and doing a factory re-set?

Might be worth a try.

Other thing worth looking at is - have you got a cordless phone plugged in near to the TV? These can cause havoc with digital signals. If so try moving it or switching it off.

Hi Keith - is it a known brand of TV (not Turkish)? If so I might be able to help as I know the TV Buyer at Argos. PM me if this is the case.
