Barcelona where robbed, nothing wrong with the second goal, but a lot wrong with the ref

The guy controlled the ball with his hand so the ref gave handball. Some they give and some they don't.

Barca were poor and got what they deserved. 60 mins against 10 men and the keeper had no more than 2 or 3 saves to make. Not good enough from 'the best team in Europe'.

As for the ref - I think the only big decision he got wrong was the sending off. The Barca guy knew exactly what he was doing and even had a sly look through his fingers to make sure the ref had seen it.

Agreed! the second Barca goal should have stood.

Also agree Jose is something else. I hate Chelsea with a vengeance but i think Abromavich must kick himself every day.

Yes I agree [:o]

Over the two games there's no question the best team went through. I thought at the time that the Barca player seemed to go face to hand rather than the other way round. How can you deliberately palm someone in the face when your arm (and the opponent) are directly behind you? Having cheated there way to a +1 man advantage, Barcelona should have battered Inter but nothing came till it was way too late.

Cheats shouldn't prosper and great to see that tonight they didn't  :)

I thought the ref did ok considering the amount of pressure from the home supporters! Just shows that cheats never prosper!!

Mourinho back in the premier league anyone???

Cheats never prosper... How about all the Inter guys who rolled on the ground as soon as they were touched, just to waste time?

Wasting time is sadly part of the game nowadays, like taking the ball to the corner to run down the clock - getting a fellow professional sent off is by far the greater of these two evils so it's good to see Barcelona OUT :D

I think rolling around on the ground in a deliberate attempt to get a fellow professionak sent off and succeeding is far worse Jaquie

Sorry, but we cannot have degrees of cheating, it's all the same in my book.  A very disappointing game that we had looked forward to all day.  Hope the final will be better.

And, what do women know about football anyway ;)

Can't really see the final being exciting. The desperation of both teams to win the trophy will probably cancel out any attempt to play open "sexy" football:(

I started my education in football standing in the Kop at 16 years old, cannot think of a better place to learn.  Wonder why men feel so threatened by woman who watch football.  My husband is totally different and sees the benefits of me loving football, as we watch the games together.
He got a call last night during the match from a guy who is doing some work for us, my husband asked why he was not watching the footie and was told "My wife hates football, so I can't watch it"
Keith,  I like Jose, he is a great Manager, but I agree with him, I don't like Italian Football,
but,I will be supporting Inter in the final.  I really don't want Bayen to win.

No comparision for a start we used get to the match one hour early for the pre match singing.  I think there is no footbal choir like the Kop.  :D

Haven't been to any of the places that sandgrounder cited or Anfiled for that matter, but the Kop singing You'll Never Walk Alone is surely one of the finest sights and sounds in sport anywhere in the world.
