Like it - looks like he picked a great area to canvass.
-
to be truthful, if someone spat in my face, i would hit them!
i really dislike hazel blears (local MP), but i wouldn't go up to her and abuse her and spit in her face.
in my opinion, they (the asians)got what they deserved!
-
So you think think its all right to abuse people in the street by calling them robbers do you.
-
Martin you might feel differently if she asked you "How many of you are robbers?", I tell you as much as I hate violence, they would get me at full force if I heard him say that to anybody. He went to provoke and got back more than he bargained for - no doubt it will be used to show why the BNP should be in power, me, I don't vote for fat ugly racist manipulators.
-
BNP Bob Bailey showed his true colours when he manhandled local young people on their own streets, called them robbers, threatened them by saying there are more of us than there are of you and tells THEM to get on their way... got the kicking he asked for if you ask me...
-
This isn't *exactly* a record of what happened, is it...
The candidate for Romford, Bob Bailey, was filmed shouting out to men in Ripple Road when one of them swore and spat at him and Mr Bailey punched him.
For the BBC, that's very disappointing indeed.
-
Keith I did watch the clip several times. he definitely man handled (shoved) one of the young people twice after they came over after he shouted to them. He laid hands on them first.
He could hardly have expected a warm reception in that area with his views. Yes he was spat at but he did basically say bring it on!
Also he should have walked away spat at or not. His reaction to throw a punch and get stuck in shows that the BNP are basically just thugs.

I agree it weas definitely a little bit of a loose reporting from the BBC
-
Not a BNP supporter but the guy was right in my book, somebody spat in my face, race, creed or colour it wouldnt make any difference they would still get it.
-
Nichola my point wasn't that - it was that the BBC report accurately and precisely confirmed the action of the "men in Ripple Road" but was rather less so when describing the actions of Bailey - who in print was apparently "shouting out to men" but in video was shouting asking how many of them were robbers. That isn't something I would report to my wife as "shouting out to men" and the BBC should know better when reporting than I do. Especially when running the story under the video of the event being described!

and I would spit in the face of the idiot that asked if I was a robber:-\
-
and went into my home area specifically to use that line in front of a tv camera. All too staged for my tastes. Sadly the other group unwittingly played their roles too.

Every need for a quote if I want to reply to what you said. Just like this.
-
just like this so take that GB
-
sorry have I offended you in some way? certainly not my intention.
-
no not at all we are entitled to our say :)
-
I won't bother with quotes here... ;)
I did read the article first and expected to see something quite different on the video clip.
I was so amazed by the actions of this candidate standing for election to represent the people in our Parliament that I completely overlooked the misrepresentation of the article.
Quite right, shame on the BBC...

Whatever anyone calls me does not give me the right to spit in their face. However if somebody spat in my face they would get the best kicking that I could muster.
