We are on our sixth day of a seven day break and sitting here on the balcony listening to the early morning birdsong it makes me reflect on how much change there has been in the valley over the last five years. We were one of the first to move into Forest Hills and remember the days before Tarmac roads, taxi ranks, dolmus and local shops. The valley has really come on. The new shop at the top of the valley has a new owner and it is great now and they are really trying to make a go of it with a good choice of items. This week the council have strted to put proper drains into the two 'pot holes' that have been testing my evasive driving manouvers for the last 12 months. Symbola block D next to us is in the final stages of being finished - outer shell including concrete roof has been finished and just needs roof tiles, upvc windows etc and internals now to be finished. Other nearby buildings are also being completed. No sign of the work starting on the villas next to Symbola yet but hopefully that will be another year! Green Valley Turkish bath must be well open now given the additional signs so maybe have a visit there in the summer. The only disappointment is The Hillpoint (previously The Viewpoint) - this "luxury" development still remains unfinished despite apartments now being advertised for only 88000 TL
dolmus also appears to be more regular - maybe Chewy can update others

Hi Amanda. A chilled out week for us - avoiding the usual drives to Patara, Kalkan and Koycegiz. The villas were supposed to being built in the area immediately behind Symbola (where the mountain side is cut out) but who knows - they may never be built
enjoy rest of your break

Thanks for the info.

Thanks very much for the very informative information HM, flying out tomorrow for a whole month, can't wait.

I don't know whether the new dolmus route is due to the road or not - I assumed they had changed it to provide access to those further up the hill at Forest Hills and Symbola.
GV bar looks more like a bar/restaurant now but i haven't tried the food yet this year - hopefully they are still doing spicy meatball wraps mmmmm
Dolmus service still every half hour (every hour at weekends) but summer service means they run until 7:30pm.
