Just tried the recently opened Fire and Wine bar in Fethiye. For those that despair of a reasonably priced, drinkable wine in the area try the house wines offered here. They are from the Cappadocia area and a glass of the Red,White or Rose is just 3.5 lira or a litre carafe for 18 lira.
The bar is situated on the corner of the searoad right by the Heads, opposite the trampoline park and next door but one to the Ocakbasi restaurant. :)

Hi
Iwas over in July and was keen to try the Fire and Wine bar but it was closed! Is the bar still in business? Does it only open in the evenings?
Cheers
-
Ocakbasi now moved closer to Hello Cafe.
The bar is still open.
I passed Fire and Wind this afternoon.
It is open for business.
-
Think it opens at around midday...
-
It is closed on sundays so maybe it was a sunday?
-
Was in there today and can certainly recommend it - where else will you get such value? - such a marvelous location too - real pleasure it was - try their cheese board to go with the wine
-
According to their advert in the LOL it is closed on Sundays.

We went there in August. The food was really nice (more like snacks than meals) and the cheese boards looked lovely! Prices were excellent - I had a chilli beef jacket potato with salad, and it was about 6 lira.
They have a music quiz night on a Tuesday which was well attended - and really hard!!!! (You guessed it - we didn't win, or come anywhere close to winning, but it was good fun trying! :P )

Thanks for the replies re when the Fire and Wine bar is open. We fly over tomorrow so will definitely be giving it a try!

Would agree with everything said also what is handy is the taxi rank directly opposite. Still current price is 10tl for 1/2 ltr caraffe,18tl for ltr.

Hi this sounds a good place to try, are there any dolmus's go to this area, we only seem to get the ones which go from Calis to the terminal by the Mosque via Gunlukbasi, or Migros, We always seem to get to the main harbour area & then it's too hot to walk any further, would like to try this area as there seems to be alot of good eating places.

Dolmus via Sahilden and get off just before Zakkum Restaurant .... walk straight down for about 5 minutes.
Or
Get Blue/green Belediye bus which leaves Calis on the hour and this will take you straight to the door. ( No bus at 3pm and last bus at 9pm)

Thanks very much for the info. Do the blue/green buses go on the road past the waterpark ?
-
Yes :)
