Title: Saying hello
Post by: Brianbern on June 29, 2010, 07:02:00 AM
Hi
Thought I'd better introduce myself as I've been reading and enjoying other comments and observations for the past couple of years. Firstly, many thanks to those who were responsible for setting up and maintaining the site.
I first came to holiday in Turkey in 1979 after 6 years of island-hopping holidays in Greece. My favourite island being Thera.
The following year my wife and I saw a poster of Oludeniz in Izmir and the rest is history. This is our 30th year visiting Calis and its surroundings, Initially, we stayed in Fethiye in the Kordon Otel and came out to Calis for sunset, It was an old bus with wooden seats and trundling over the makeshift roads tested your internal suspension.
This summer we're staying in the Oykun again and will have the pleasure of trusting our dining experience to Mehmet in the Harem Restaurant. Pleased to see Faruk back from Germany. We have just enjoyed our first two evening meals in the Harem and the attention to detail is up to Mehmet Ipar's customary very high standard
We will be here for 4 weeks and relishing every single second in this idyllic setting.---mashallah.

Thanks again
Brian

Thanks for you kind welcome. Trying to ensure postings appear in the correct folder. Oykun wifi signal does not reach sea-view side of hotel.
Had a walk along the beach today towards Sat Restaurant---interesting two-tier viewing platform.
