Hi I'm Jax, married to Albert with 2 teens 15 & 17 and we are about to buy a villa in Ovacik.  We have been loads of times before always stayed at Orka and love the place so much we're buying a villa through them. We should exchange contracts May 2005. Would love to chat to anyone else who has bought through them to hear about their experiences good or bad! Also we could use some advice on furnishing the villa for letting, with advice about where to get some good bargains! Looking forward to chatting to new neighbours, best wishes Jax.

I'm sure things will go well, If my family's adventure to date is anything to go by, it will be fine.

The agents help us with furnishing etc. no problems.

Hi Jax, welcome to the forum to the 4 of you, can't help you with the furniture, my appartment was fully furnished, didn't even need to buy a tin opener, just needed a pot for my efes, & Scarlett Bar in Calis supplied me with those along with 6 cups & saucers as a welcome present, not used them yet cos I can see the bar from my balcony & it's a bit like a magnet lol. Hi Jax, we've just bought an apartment with Orka in Ovacik.  Our friends bought a villa through them last year and so we bought on recommendation.  We're going over 1st to 15th April to furnish it and so I'll let you know how we get on.  Neither our friends nor we have had any problems with Orka and they have always been very helpful and friendly.  We had been looking for "our place in the sun" for years (too many) and so had done lots of research.  In the end we decided to buy through Orka as the area and the people we bought from ticked all our boxes!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Have just returned from a week of tile, kitchen, marble hunting, and have never been so cold in my life. Stayed in the Yacht Hotel in Fethiye and the curtains were blowing around like washing on a line on the first night. More than half an inch of daylight could be seen between window frames and walls the next morning! Spent the second day shopping for warm jumpers, fleeces etc. Also decided on the spot to have central heating installed since furnishings must get quite damp during winter months, any comments?

We were in the Yacht Hotel in February - lasted three nights and booked out - looked like it needed a severe dose of TLC - pity
