Joanna and her friend are have just checked in at Glasgow on route to Turkey. They got their cases weighed together, were one kilo over between them and were charged £5 by Aegean :o
They must've got a right sour puss on the desk:D
-
Some of them are so miserable Anne. They are probably monitored on how many they charge, bet they hate doing it really.
Or maybe not!
I was 2 kilos under when flying out in June but 3 kilos over coming back, (don't know how as I left lots of stuff behind), I flew with TC but they never charged me, think they felt sorry for me as I was last person checking in! Either that or they sympathised as my flight was delayed 4 hours! [:(!]
-
Think you were lucky Jenny T.C. where charging £12.00 for every kilo over when we came back in June.
-
first choice/thomson also charge £12 a kilo that you are over.
-
it's not the cost that amused me so much as the one kilo
-
Think I must have been lucky Anne, but won't be travelling with TC again in a hurry, last 3 times I have travelled with them I have been delayed a long time, and always in the middle of the night-my worst nightmare!!

Anne why not weigh the cases before leaving home [?] dead simple 8)
-
Like Kenkay we weigh the cases before we leave and we have a scales in our place in Calis to weigh when we return.. Usually lighter when we come back as we always take stuff over with us for the house.
I agree with Bewva, it's easy if you live in England to take your pick of airlines, not so in Scotland. T.C. are now the only Company that fly out of Aberdeen since Globespan went bust.

Aw don't say that? They have tiniest sitting space EVER! I only have little legs and they were touching the seat in front, I had an aisle seat and had a fidgety man sitting next to me, drove me mental, we were silently fighting for the arm rest! :D
Pegasus all the way for me from now on, hopefully! :)
-
We did weigh them Ken, obviously my scales are out a little but I've never heard of anyone being charged for one kilo. At least now she can't buy all the crap from the market:D

Hi Jenny - was there significantly more room with Pegasus or just enough to switch cheeks when one goes numb??

Hi Sue
In my opinion I thought there was more legroom, they also seem cheaper as they seem to be same price for the same date whenever you look on website, whereas others seem to increae if you know what I mean?
They also leave you be, don't try selling you stuff all the time, just ask if you want to purchase a meal, serve you drinks and that's it, you're free to enjoy your flight in peace!
I am flying with them in September, but can't find any flights after that as in my post on 'flights/airlines'.

Thanks Jen, will consider them next time (ooohhh, will be 2011 before we go over now......sad, sad)

I am planning to go to the UK soon, I will have more than the hand luggage allowance, but far less than the 20 kilos that I was forced to pay for if I wanted to check in a hold bag (Thomas Cook).
Do you think that they will give me £12.00 for every kilo that I am under? [:o)] :o:D
