Went to Fethiye with 6 members of family on Sunday - just for a walk around and a drink to show them the sights.
Sat and had a drink here - really nice chap (Umit) - no hassle - large beer 3.99 so everyone was happy.
Went to town last night intending to go to Megri with same crowd but it was very busy so we went back to Enginar and had a lovely evening - great food - nicely presented - good value - no hassle!
They have some good "specials" - 5 of us had Chicken curry 16.99 YTL including a large beer or a glass of wine and it was really really nice - in a lovely setting.
I know from doing a search - Gorgeous Bird is a big fan but I have not seen many others - you might be missing a nice little gem!!!!
If you don't know where it is just go to Megri and walk back towards the harbour - I think - only 50 yards from that area.
We will be back........................:D

Thanks for that Ian sounds good, prefer recommendations and love the Paspatur so will try Enginar when we are back in October.

Have they improved the loos yet.....did nothing for their image?
-
I've never used the loos so can't comment but if I remember they are not on the premises but down the side of the building?
-
Brian - as always you are spot on - the ambience and food are really lovely BUT the loos are the only downside as it is a pay loo just around the corner but you do get free wi-fi :D
Ian

I assume that is in the Artichoke and not in the loo:D

Oh what a shame, I have now whittled my list down to 14 and that was one of them. thanks for posting the info. :)

It was open this afternoon
-
Perhaps it was a quick sale[?]:D:D:D
-
I do know that the other bars/restaurants made life very difficult for them, so maybe it just wasn't worth the effort.
-
Went this evening - had a really nice meal - special's board (what else for me :)) - 17 YTL Chicken Curry and a drink - followed by coffee on the house - excellent value!!!!
The owner said they closed on Wednesday as that was the day the sale went through - he bought out the other partner - so they closed for one day to complete the legals.
The food was very good - but the other big plus point of this place is the setting - my eldest daughter said when we went last time "It feels magical around here" and with the olde worlde buildings - the lantern shops and the little mosque - it was easy to see why she thought that.
So you can still give it a go :D :D
-
Very inconsiderate....closing on the night we decided to go:D
-
Ian.....Got your text but the return path is not recognised. Replying by PM via the Forum. :)
-
I'm still not sure where this place is, more details please
-
Help - I usually get lost myself - but we walk from the front (about 300 yds past the new Migros) - then turn left into Pasapatur heading towards Megri - but this place is on one of the side streets leading through to the Megri. I am sure someone else will have better directions :)
-
As Ian says go past Migros (was Carrefour) and Ziratt Bank and look to your left and you will see a large multi storey Retail/Office block on The corner....it is tthe start of the one way system out of Fethiye. Take that road and then take the first pedestrian arcade on your right,,,,proceed for about 50 metres and turn left -Enginar is then just on your left. Continue past Enginar and you will arrive at the Mosque in Paspatur. If you retrace your steps just past Enginar you will probably see a very talkative parrot outside a watch shop:D
-
Cheers I will take a look for it when I am back out in a couple of weeks.
