hi everyone im visiting calis for the 2nd time this saturday and i have a few questions i hope you can answer! Firstly my mum is coming and she cannot swim at all, so just wondering if she would be ok with the 12 island boat trip, or do you have to be able to swim to get off on te islands???
Also where is the best place to get DVD's?
thanks, any help is greatly appreciated!

Your mum can walk to quite a few of the beaches, but also the boats have those floaty straws or even tell her to slip on one of the life jackets. DVD man Hasan is the man to see, and you will - he does a tour of the bars and restaurants. If you don't see him, ask the staff where DVD Hasan is, and they will make him appear :)

ok thanks, looks like we will be doing the boat trip then :) ooo how much are his dvd's then?? Also is it better to exchange money in england or there??
thanks again!!
-
Probably easier to exchange over in Calis. We've found Onur has a pretty good rate, it's opposite from Joseph's Bar :)

Usually around 15 DVD's for £10, but negotiable :)

wow that sounds very resonable will definatley be restocking by dvd cabinet then!! oo by the way how hot is it in turkey at the moment??
-
we use hasan to his dvds are brill and if for any reason they are poop he takes them back with no hassle and exchanges it.
as for 12 island i am a rubbish swimmer and i use the foam pipe things on board the waters pretty shallow anyway its just the 'getting off' the boat that she will need a float for.
have a lovely time x

We got one DVD "Clash of the Titans" from Hassan. George's bar have a catalogue of DVD's and they ring Hassan with your order whilst you have your meal. If you bought 5 dvd's you got one free. I think one was 5 TYL. However, it did not work in our player. We got it exchanged, but it still did not work, seems like our player would not play re-written DVD's anyway we brought it home and it worked in our DVD player in Scotland, but it was a poor copy taken in a cinema and we only watched the beginning and decided to bin it.

I think the 15 for £10 might be a tongue in cheek reply becky :). If someone knows for sure can they post.

I am a non swimmer and used to feel like I was missing out every time I went on a boat trip!
Then on one trip, they gave out life jackets, so I didn't feel embarassed, and was able to join in, was surprised at how many people used them?
Oh, and those 'foamy things' are fab!
What are they really called?? :)

Pool Noodles??[:o)]

I heard they were called noodles, but I'm pretty gullible ;)
Nobody should be embarrassed about taking a life jacket - there's so much to see when snorkelling off the boat, why miss out because you feel a bit daft? Nobody would think that I'm sure and anyway, why waste energy when you can use one and float around :D

Thankyou everyone for your responses!!!
I will now tell my mum that she will be fine on the boat trip :D soo whats the temperature in turkey right now???
ooo and i call those foam things a woggle???

I've been checking out the weather on a daily basis as we're over in Calis later this week, according to holidayweather.com Calis Beach is in the low to mid 90's for the next 7 days!! Don't know how accurate it is but hope it's true. Can't wait! :D:D

It is now 8:30 pm in Calis. It is dark. My thermometer, which is ouside on the back porch, reads 30 degrees C, which is 86 F. So you can guess what it is like during the day. Have a good time but bring plenty of suncream.
