Title: Caxton card & Fairfax card
Post by: kayakebab on August 11, 2010, 21:00:26 PM
I've been doing some research and the Caxton card looks like a good bet for drawing cash free of charge with competitive exchange rates when Nationwide start charging on 1st November 10

The Fairfax card also looks good, but theres a small charge at the ATM, but slightly better exchange rate, so you'll need to weigh it up for your personal preferences

For purchases there's other options

there's lots of info

I have a caxton euro card.
Last year I withdrew 150 euro from an ATM in Sardinia, but never got given the money just a receipt.
After a few months of mastercard investigation the Italian bank refused to refund the money, so caxton gave me the money as a good will gesture. Great service as they could easily have hidden behind mastercard.
