I am looking for advise to get from the otogar to the airport, i.e is there a bus or just taxi

The Havas bus company will take you to the airport. Check where they drop you off. When we used them we got dropped off at the domestic terminal. They do not run as frequently as other bus companies.
Fethiye or Marmaris bus companies will take you to the centre of Dalaman and then on by taxi to the airport. The last time we used them I think it was 60TL. 15TL each for the bus each and 30TL for the taxi.

Resort hoppa will pick up from Fethiye and take you direct to airport, and collect you. It was easy to use and quite cheap. Only disadvantage is they don't travel to Uzumlu.

They will also not pick you up if you are in private accommodation. When we used them they said nothing at the point of booking and taking our money but when it was time to phone to confirm the return trip to Dalaman they said they will not pick up from a private complex or villa.
The guy I had the mis-pleasure of having to speak to at their Fethiye office was totally obnoxious and just kept shouting at me down the phone about how lucky I was to have been dropped off at our complex and how he hoped I gave the driver who had done me a huge favour a very large tip.
You can also wait over an hour on arrival at Dalaman until enough flights have come in to fill all seats on their minibus.
Used them once but never again.

We have successfully used Transfers4u for a couple of years -you just choose a hotel near you as the pick-up/drop off point. I only once had to wait an hour but it is worth the money saving- especially if only one pwesion is travelling.

On the bus we caught from the otogar to Dalaman there was a driver and conductor who looked after us. We had lemon sprinkled on our hands and were given water from a cooler box. At Dalaman the luggage was all loaded into the taxi for us and we were told not to pay more than a stipulated price to the taxi driver. Very pleasant journey.

Then again you could have just paid 30 pounds to our taxi company who would have picked you up at your home. Given you a bottle of water and also loaded your luggage. It's not worth the hasstle to us to save a fiver. No offence Daffodil. We have slightly different circumstances in that my husband has a mobility problem.

Less than £15.00 per person for return transfer from Dalaman to Fethiye area
On arrival report to desk outside main airport terminal, you are taken to mini bus, where you don't wait for more than 30 mins-they drop off at hotels/apartments (no private addresses).
A few days before you are due to fly home you ring thier local office based in Fethiye confirming flight time & which hotel you want collecting from - coach picked up exactly when it said it would.
Only drawback is they don't do a single one way transfer...you have to book a return journey, which you cancel if not needed!
Otherwise BRILLIANT SERVICE!!!

We made the journey by bus out of curiosity as we usually used taxis like yourself. I agree if you have a mobility problem it is best to be picked up from the door. :)

I have never waited more than half an hour with resorthoppa, and I've been using them for years. For some reason I chose rain transfers this time, fingers crossed!
