in my opinion anything is better than Kale Park !!!, and I would put Sundial in a totally different league entirely.

Never used to be in my opinion. but definitely is in a different league now.
Took twenty three people there in August. Never even got starters after one and a half hrs three lots of drinks i had to complain. Fair play to the owner he got us all back to Hisaronu and never charged us for any drinks. Hope they get a new chef and manager soon as the setting is lovely.

Definitely - I can say for me one of the best places in Fethiye in terms of setting, menu, food quality and service - at one time. How tragic to read all these reports.

Doody do you mean The Sun Dial or the Kale Park where you had bad service. I am very surprised if it is Murats place.

No one there speaks any English, Witch i understand, but I had to phone a friend who is Turkish to get across to them that we was not happy.I have been there about ten times before never had a bad meal or service. As Scunner says it's a shame.

We went last summer with our daughter. The view was stunning, but thats about all that was good about this place. For the price of the meals we were expecting really good food, however, the portions we got were really small, which was just as well, as it was not nice at all. My daughters chicken was raw, and my so called lamb shank was all fat and bone.Trying to get the waiters attention was a full time job, there was no bread given before the meal as an appetiser.Water that you didn't order put on your bill.

Never once had bad food or bad service any of
The times we went there.
I don't think it will be closed for long..
Best location in the area.

Some friends took us to this restaurant a couple of days ago and we had a great meal there.  The panoramic views of Fethiye lit up at night are stunning, and we felt we had really good service and food, in particular the mushroom and calamari starters and the steak were all cooked to perfection and very generous.  We also had fresh hot bread with the starters.  We were all full after two courses but they gave us complimentary ice cream desserts and we were pleasantly surprised at the bill, which we thought was reasonable at 150TL for four of us with drinks in such a great setting.  Will definitely go back again for a romantic meal out.

I wrote in May this year that we went to Kale Park for lunch.  They have a totally new team and Chef from Izmir.  The food was lovely, really big helpings.   The Manager spoke perfect English and was very pleasant.  We had a long conversation with him about his plans for the place. They also have a stall near the door selling jams and chutney made by the Chef.
I think that those who went last year when the old team where in place and the food and service was not good (as we did) should really give it another try before bring up all the past complaints.
It's such a lovely place to eat, lets use it or loose it.

I agree so sad, fabulous setting, used to be lovely, went there for our Anniversary one year and really enjoyed it. Last Christmans found our Cousins had been there a few years back and loved it. (Didnt even know they had been to Fethiye!).

Hope it recovers.

Do the taxis in Fethiye all know where this is if we just ask for Kale Park?
This is on my "impress a friend" list and plan to try it in a couple of weeks.

Any ideas what we should expect to pay for a taxi and will the restaurant organise one for us coming back down to the harbour?
Their website is really interesting too - great pics.

I am sure the taxi drivers will know where it is. In case they don't go to the top of the one way street just passed where the Fire Station used to be.  There is a road that is signposted to Kayakoy on the right, turn up there. I should not imagine it would be too much for a taxi and the Kale will order one for you when you leave, we have often seen taxis arriving to pick up people.  If you go to the Kale Park Website just now there is a 10% discount voucher you can print off. It is valid for daytime 1200hrs to 1600hrs ;)

we were sat around the pool at Seaside residence and a rep of Kale park dropped a leaflet, after talking with him he said they would pick us up and drop us off. So we thought lets give it a go as I had eaten there in 2009 it was excellent then. However after making the arrangements via phone for 7pm all confirmed. they didnt even turn up. would never go again.... left a bad taste in the mouth when there are a multitude of excellent restaurants in the fethiye/ calis area
