Hi there
Just a quickie-has anyone in Uzumlu ever had to have the name changed re their water bill-what is the cost?
Thanks
-
Just done the name transfer, Philip and pretty sure it costs 400 tyl for each change. Out on the 19th so watch out.... !
-
Thanks for that-jesus wept its expensive!
I go home 17th so you will have to buy me a beer some other time
-
Now there's lucky ! Safe home run to you.
-
Not sure if Scorcher is taking the P on this one-surely its not that expensive?
Any other Uzumlians have experience of changing the water into their own name?
-
I hope that is wrong Saoirse cos the guy that sold us our apartment had changed his name on the water on an apartment he owned to my name. The apartment has just been sold, and if he's paid 400TL to do that I'm wondering what else he has put in my name!

When we bought our renovated house some 3 yrs ago, we had to change the water into our names from the builders. We did not have to pay anything only the outstanding money for the water used since the last bill. Needles to say the builder promised to reimburse us, Yeah right!!!!
We did this at the same time that we paid the council tax.

if its a 1st time meter ie the house changing status from under construction to built its around 200 tl If its just a name change its 97tl, Im presuming Uzumulu same prices as Fethiye though,

This may seem a daft question and I imagine the answer is "because its Turkey" but why do they charge to change the name of who pays the bill?
What happens if you just leave it in the previous name but you go and pay it?

We never changed the names in our last place for electric and water, for electric direct debit was set up in our name and our bank account - didn't seem to make a difference we checked we were paying the resident charges and not the builders charge which is different. We have since sold over a year ago and new owners haven't changed the names either and don't seem to have any problems - I guess if the person whos orginal name it is ever cancels these utilitis you would need to change it.
