Title: Want to use flight only on package holiday

We are looking at coming out over the school half term and flights are a bit expensive. However we have found that booking a package holiday - with the flights we require - is cheaper than buying flights on there own (weird).

Has anybody else used the flights only on a package holiday - then stayed at there prefered holiday home - and not use the hotel within the package?.

Can you do this?

Any help appreciated

We do this all the time if its a cheaper option

we've done it once! Just told the rep at the airport that we wouldnt be using the accomodation( it was in marmaris!)suspect they might have made a few quid on a sublet but it was worth it for us!

Thanks, have now booked day flights, Gatwick - Dalaman (return) Saturday to Saturday for £600 (two adults and a child inc 15kg luggage each) through Cosmos, Thomas Cooke flights.

Booking these flights direct as flight only would of been £800.00 plus hold luggage.

Might try this more often!
