Post by: saoirse on September 14, 2010, 12:47:41 PM
Other than the immediate Xmas/New Year period are there no Jan, Feb flights at all in 2011 to Dalaman? (From Gatwick, Manc or anywhere!)

Yep, we thought that too!  There's hardly any changeover time - only 55 minutes on the return journey!  No time for the flight to be late, or for dawdling in the loo at Istanbul!!   :o

I have sent Thomas Cook an email yesterday enquiring why their schedules are so different for the winter this year compared to last year - twice we flew during the winter last year back to the Uk and flights totally full - doesn't make sense - will let you know any replies received.

Cutbacks to save money I guess. Most airlines seem to be doing this over the winter.

This has happened for the last few years at Dalaman...flights very few and far between. We had to fly from Antalya last winter, and even then there was a stop at Istanbul. They do have a couple of flights Christmas and New Year period, but from mid-November through to end of March, the service is very scant.
